Fussy munchkin

Lucas has been showing the beginning sign of teething. The poor thing is drooling like crazy and wants to chew on everything. Steve bought him this little stuffed dog that Lucas loves to chew on. Besides teething, he is also going through a growth spurt.

teething + growth spurt = fussy baby

On a positive note the weather was beautiful yesterday so we got to play outside. Check out the pictures of Lucas sporting his Red Sox hat.

Busy week

In no particular order here are some highlights from the past week:

1. Lucas starting grabbing his pacifier and holding it in his mouth.

2. Early Tuesday, Steve took my car key to work and had to drive back to give it to me. He was about 15 minutes late but I managed to drop Lucas off and get to work on time

3. Lucas now sleeps in his own room.

4. Steve tripped, went to the emergency room, found he sprained his ankle, and was on crutches for 2 days.

5. I started running with Lucas in the jogging stroller.

6. We got another car key (see #2).

Last week was very eventful and we plan on relaxing this week for our vacation. More pictures to come!

The Shahnamians

We went to Mohegan Sun yesterday for the Shahnamain family reunion. It was pretty fun and Lucas was the hit of the party. He did really well up until the end when he got tired. My favorite part was when Steve was telling his family to "shhh" because Lucas was trying to sleep in a casino. By the way, you can't bring a 3 1/2 month old into the slot machine room. Oh well..
We also learned that Lucas is the last boy (so far) to carry on the Shahnamian name. So much pressure for the little one!

Diving or Sushi?

The other day Steve and I were trying to get ready for the next day. We both had a ton of stuff to do, so Steve suggested we put Lucas in front of the fish tank. Maybe the bright lights, colorful fish and the humming sound of the filter would entertain him. You know what?!? It did! We were in the other room and all we could hear were kicking of legs and some cooing. Lucas was smiling, staring at the fish. Every time a fish would swim by he would kick his legs and try to talk with the fish. Trust me it was adorable.

Steve thinks this is a sign that he will like scuba diving. I think it is a sign that he will like sushi. We'll have to wait a few years to see who was right.
