A few weeks back I hosted a party for Steve's big 4-0 birthday. I rented out a picnic site on Hopkinton State Park and invited his closest friends/family to celebrate the big day. Have you ever tried hosting a party at a site other than your house? It's tough. You have to remember to bring everything you could possibly need with you. Luckily I make lists, lists, and more lists to remember everything. I'm even luckier because Steve's friend, Jason, helped by running the bbq so I could set up. I also made him a scrapbook of memories with entries (pictures, stories, and poems) from his friends and family. The book came out great and Steve loved it too! I was exhausted after the busy day but it was worth it. Now it's time to plan the Halloween party....
Before Lucas came into our lives Steve and I used to race (running and triathlons) quite often. Once Lucas was born our priorities shifted a bit not leaving much time to train. We're not like most people, we enjoy waking up early on a Sunday and running a 5k race. So today Lucas and I (Leah and Domenic too) cheered on Steve for his first triathlon in 4 years! Lucas loved playing with all the expensive bikes and shaking his cow bell. Steve did awesome and has another one at the end of the month.
After the race today!
Dad thought it would be funny to give him a mohawk in the bath. Enjoying a relaxing dinner. Lucas and Domenic (2 months)
Steve and I are having a baby! A couple of people asked us to do this so they can follow the baby (and my stomach) growing. We are excited about our new addition to the family. He or she should be here around January 13, 2009. You can never have too many capricorns in the world.
And, we are seriously taking any baby name suggestions.
